LifeShare Names Vice President of Tissue Services

Alyssa Harrison, of Edmond, was recently announced as the new Vice President of Tissue Services at LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma.
LifeShare is the organ procurement organization in Oklahoma responsible for the recovery of organs and tissue for transplant purposes.
“Alyssa is a talented and energetic leader with a passion for LifeShare’s lifesaving purpose. Since joining LifeShare in March of 2019, she has provided focus and vision that has led our tissue program to new levels of achievement,” said Jeffrey Orlowski, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeShare.
In this new role to LifeShare, Harrison is responsible for strategic planning, development, implementation, and evaluation of operations for the Tissue Recovery Services and the Donation Services Center. In addition, this role will direct the recruitment, development, and retention of Donor Service Coordinators, Tissue Recovery Coordinators and per diem staff.
Harrison has more than 10 years of experience in the tissue recovery field. Prior to joining LifeShare, Harrison was the Executive Director of the United Tissue Network.
Harrison earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology and a Master of Education specializing in Adult Education both from the University of Central Oklahoma. Additionally, she earned a Master of Business Administration from Washington State University. She is currently in pursuit of a Doctorate in Public Health Education.
She is also a member of the American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB), and the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations.
