TRANSPLANT WOULD NOT BE POSSIBLE WITHOUT THE GENEROSITY OF DONOR FAMILIES
A family's choice to donate or to support the decision of donation during their time of tragedy is a choice to give life to someone else. It is a choice that can promote healing and a sense of comfort for the donor family with knowing the result of this gift on other’s lives.
LIFESHARE PROVIDES SUPPORT
LifeShare supports donor families with our Aftercare Program in the difficult time following the death of a loved one. Following the donation, LifeShare sends a letter to family members with details regarding their loved one's donation with a Donor Medallion. For families of organ donors, this is followed by a letter with general information about the recipients of the organs transplanted. In
the year following the donation, LifeShare provides a selection of grief materials, surveys for feedback and various resources and opportunities detailed below. To learn more about our Aftercare program, please contact us at 405-840-5551 or via email at
LifeShare-Aftercare@lifeshareok.org.

RESOURCES FOR DONOR FAMILIES
In addition to LifeShare's grief materials, donor families may choose to seek further support from either a local or a national organization.
We also have a LifeShare of Oklahoma Donor Family Support Group on Facebook. The purpose of this “private” group is to help members connect with and support one another along their grief journey. If you would like to be a member of this group, click here.
