LIFESHARE WORKS TO BUILD RELATIONSHIPS WITH STATE FUNERAL HOMES
NAMES NEW FUNERAL HOME LIAISON
Kenny Tigner, of McAlester, Okla., recently joined LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma as the Funeral Home Liaison.
LifeShare is the organ procurement organization in Oklahoma responsible for the recovery of organs and tissue for transplant purposes.
“Kenny comes to us with an array of experience in the mortuary field,” said Jeff Orlowski, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeShare. “We are glad to have him as a part of our team and we know he will help us to build the relationships with our funeral home partners and continue the growth of our lifesaving efforts.”
Tigner has 39 years of experience in the field of mortuary science. Prior to coming to LifeShare, he was employed by Lanman Funeral Home in Helena, Okla., where he served as a Funeral Director and embalmer.
In his new position, Tigner will help support LifeShare’s funeral home partners across the state by ensuring LifeShare and the funeral homes meet compliance with the standards and best practices within the organ and tissue procurement field.
Tigner completed the Mortuary Science Program at the University of Central Oklahoma in Edmond.
He has also held numerous leadership positions with the Oklahoma Funeral Directors Association and is currently serving at the president.
