LIFESHARE NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF TISSUE SERVICES
Larry Sickles, of Gainesville, Fla., was recently named Director of Tissue Services of LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma.
LifeShare is the organ procurement organization in Oklahoma responsible for the recovery of organs and tissue for transplant purposes.
“Larry comes to us with an array of experience in the tissue procurement field,” said Jeff Orlowski, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeShare. “We are glad to have him as a part of our leadership team and we know he will help us to continue the growth of our tissue services.”
Sickles has more than twenty years of experience in the organ and tissue procurement field. Prior to coming to LifeShare, he was employed by RTI Surgical as the Senior Manager of the Donor Support Center.
Sickles has also held various positions in the procurement field with organizations including Carolina Donor Services and the Center for Organ Recovery and Education.
In his new position, Sickles will manage all aspects of the Tissue Services Department at LifeShare which includes tissue recovery and call center operations. He is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the standards and regulations that govern tissue donation.
Sickles received a Bachelor of Science in Information Systems Management, a Master of Science in Information Systems Management and a Master of Business Administration all from Robert Morris University in Township, Pennsylvania.
He is also a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist.
