LIFESHARE NAMES NEW DIRECTOR OF ORGAN RECOVERY
Joanna Zaman, of Houston, Texas, was recently named Director of Organ Recovery of LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma.
LifeShare is the organ procurement organization in Oklahoma responsible for the recovery of organs, eyes and tissue for transplant purposes.
“Joanna comes to us with an array of experience in the organ procurement field,” said Jeff Orlowski, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeShare. “We are glad to have her as a part of our leadership team and we know she will help us to continue the growth of our organ recovery program.”
Zaman has more than ten years of experience in the organ procurement field. Prior to coming to LifeShare, she was employed by LifeGift in Houston as the Assistant Managing Director of Clinical Operations. During her tenure at Houston, Zaman gained valuable experience in kidney preservation.
In her new position, Zaman will manage all aspects of the Organ Recovery Department at LifeShare which includes clinical management of potential donors, organ recovery processes, healthcare system relationship management and kidney preservation operations. She is also responsible for ensuring compliance with the standards and regulations that govern organ donation.
Zaman received a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2003 from the University of Houston in Texas.
She is also a Certified Procurement Transplant Coordinator and Certified Transplant Preservationist.
Zaman currently holds memberships in North American Transplant Coordinators Society (NATCO) and the Texas Transplantation Society (TTS).
