LifeShare Names New Director of Hospital Development and Family Services
Beth Hannan, of Baton Rouge, La., was recently named Director of Hospital Development and Family Services of LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma.
“Beth comes to us with an array of experience in the organ procurement field,” said Jeff Orlowski, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeShare. “We are glad to have her as a part of our leadership team and we know she will be a valuable asset to our organization.”
Hannan has seven years of experience in the organ and tissue procurement field. Prior to coming to LifeShare, she was employed by the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations, in Virginia, as the Program Manager.
Prior to that, Hannan was the Hospital Donation Program Supervisor at LifeGift in Houston. She led a team of hospital and organ procurement staff to achieve phenomenal results at Memorial Hermann Hospital, the top donor producing hospital in the country. Beth has also worked closely with donor families as a Hospital Liaison and a Family Care Specialist.
In her new position, Hannan will work with the healthcare organizations across the state to promote organ, eye and tissue donation and to ensure procedures and policies pertaining to donation are implemented and executed according to best practices. She will also be responsible for the family services offered by LifeShare.
Hannan received a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Louisiana State University. She is a Certified Tissue Bank Specialist and holds her Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification.
Hannan currently holds memberships in North American Transplant Coordinators Society (NATCO), American Association of Tissue Banks (AATB), Texas Transplantation Society (TTS) and Organ Donation Research Consortium (ODRC).
