LifeShare Director to Serve as Vice Chair of National Council
Robert Bashaw, the Director of Information Technology and Facility Management for LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma, was recently selected to serve as the Vice Chair on the Association of Organ Procurement Organizations Information Technology Council.
The AOPO IT Council consists of the IT leadership of the 58 organ procurement organizations in the United States. Through participation in the Council, IT leaders share best practices, lessons learned, knowledge and the business benefits of working together toward the common goal of saving more lives through organ and tissue donation.
To hold a leadership position on the council, Bashaw was nominated and selected through a voting process. He will serve as Vice Chair for a one year term and will then serve as Chair of the council for a one year term.
“Robert’s extensive experience in information technology qualifies him as an excellent leader of the AOPO IT Council,” said Jeff Orlowski, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeShare. “Robert has demonstrated great management skills as a member of the LifeShare leadership team and I know he will be a valuable asset to the council.”
Bashaw has worked in the area of information technology for more than 20 years and has been working at LifeShare since 2011. He earned a bachelor of science in computer science with a minor in business administration from the University of Central Oklahoma in 2008.
