Jackson County Memorial Hospital Receives Recognition for Work with Donation

Jackson County Memorial Hospital accepts a gold level recognition award from LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma for the hospital’s work with organ, eye and tissue donation.
The Workplace Partnership for Life (WPFL) program is an initiative sponsored by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services to enlist companies and organizations to be partners in promoting organ, eye and tissue donation.
LifeShare Transplant Donor Services of Oklahoma uses this program to encourage hospitals in the state to educate employees and the community about the crucial need for donation.
“We are very thankful to Jackson County Memorial Hospital for their participation in this program,” said Jeffrey Orlowski, President and Chief Executive Officer of LifeShare. “Their efforts and support are crucial in helping to save the lives of the more than 123,000 people currently waiting on a lifesaving transplant.”
With approximately 900 Oklahomans on the waiting list for a lifesaving transplant, LifeShare encourages everyone to make the decision to be an organ, eye and tissue donor and to share that decision with your family.
