Erin Mize, a 30-year-old woman from Heavener, Okla., lived life to rope and ride. She was known to be happiest when surrounded by her loved ones, her dog and horses.
You could often find Erin trail riding with her best friends, trotting down a parade route or passionately participating in rodeos. She also enjoyed channeling her creativity by writing stories online and sharing them with her close friends. Erin’s friends described her as having been a positive light in their lives, recalling endless happy memories. When it came to Erin, there was never a negative thing to be said about her. She was a caring, outgoing, and brightly shining person; to know her was to love her. |
She made friends easily due to her kind and outgoing energy, so it was no surprise to know she had a huge circle of friends all around the world. She made it a priority to stay connected and maintain these relationships because she cherished them.
Erin’s family was proud of the woman she had grown to be. She was always someone her family could look to for advice, and was the type of person who would offer a hug or listening ear whenever you needed. She encouraged others to always be true to themselves.
When Erin passed away on Valentines Day in 2023, she made her own mark by saving four lives through organ donation and improved the quality of life for countless others as a tissue donor.
She was also able to make a direct donation, meaning someone who personally knew Erin was saved by one of her organs. Her family is touched to know Erin lives on in others, including someone within their own circle.
